Yancey County is known for preserving its local cultures and traditions, including the architecture of past generations. Today young and old alike celebrate Yancey County’s multi-cultural heritage through education, music, storytelling, crafts and other special events. It is from this deep tradition that we get our name, Mountain Heritage Estates. Our company name, Mountain Lifestyle Communities, is in honor of the salt-of-the-earth people who have lived here for generations, the newcomers who share in this "back to the land" perferred way of living, and the artists who are inspired by these beautiful mountains and bring heightened joy and awareness to our lives.
